The Horse Rescue Site
Everything you need to know about adopting your own horse.
|
How It All Got Started . . .
I created this page as a part of my Girl Scout
Gold Award Project. I wanted to show people
that adopting a horse is a great thing for both
horse and owner. I know many people who
have adopted horses of their own, and now
they are happier than ever. I want to spread
that joy to other potential horse owners. I
hope that this site is beneficial to people who
still aren't sure if they should adopt a horse
or not. I have included many resources that
will assist you in the process of adopting
your very own horse.
About the Webmaster . . .
My name is Sarah. I am seventeen years old,
and have been riding horses for eight years.
I ride English, and I enjoy eventing, as well
as trail riding and playing polocrosse for fun.
I lease a horse named Austin, an American
Quarter Horse. Much of my time is spent
riding and pampering my horse, but I also
spend a lot of my time volunteering. I am a
straight-A student in school, and somehow I
manage to fit schoolwork into my daily life as
well. I try to update this site as often as
possible, but there may be times when I just
don't have time!!
Austin and I Austin and I have been together for three years. My life wouldn't be complete without him. Getting a wet, sloppy kiss makes my day because I know this horse loves me as much as I love him!
